Negro Baseball Leagues existed across the country from 1920 to 1960. Of the 38 players from those leagues who were inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame, only one is from Baltimore. Leon Day stands larger than life in the third-floor lobby of the Owings Mills Library. He's an icon of the Negro Baseball Leagues.
