Dr. Isaac Namdar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Mount Sinai West, where he has practiced since the year 2000. Prior to joining the Mount Sinai Health System, he was a Managing Partner at Head & Neck Surgical Group, and the Division Chairman at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital. He received his undergraduate degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he graduated Valedictorian of his graduating class. Through Stony Brook’s early acceptance program he secured a spot in their medical school after his sophomore year and he graduated medical school with honors. Dr. Namdar then did his surgical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital, and continued to his residency in Otolaryngology at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, with rotations at New York Cornell Hospital, Memorial Sloane-Kettering Hospital, and Lenox Hill. Due to merger of hospitals, Dr. Namdar received his residency certificate from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He has been in practice since then with significant focus on clinical care and teaching.
Dr. Namdar spends the greatest part of his practice on management of sinus disease, allergies, pediatric ENT, hearing loss and balance issues, and vocal dysfunction. He has also undertaken additional training in medical acupuncture and can offer this modality as an added option in many conditions often treated in his practice.
